Adversaur
Malfaktor Leader
“The defeated serve no purpose but mine, and soon, all will be defeated.”
Previous life and current capabilities
Before his rebirth, Adversaur was a tech CEO convicted of embezzling millions from a children’s cancer fund, having spent the money on vacations, luxury cars, and lavish pajama parties. He was subsequently murdered in prison by a gang leader whose face tattoo he had labeled pretentious art.
His reincarnation as Adversaur has granted him freedom and a powerful new outlet for his avarice and cruelty.
Adversaur can tear an Eclector in half with his Pulverizer hand and Crane Claw, though the claw’s grip strength is wildly inconsistent. Programmed millennia ago on a distant planet to catch stuffed animals, the claw can, on any given day, either crush a boulder or be incapable of lifting a grape.
His shoulder-mounted beam buster cannon creates crippling negative self-talk in victims…while melting their bodies into molten steel. The power required to engage the weapon can drain him, but stopping is difficult. The pain it unleashes delivers an intoxicating high to his processing circuits: the more destruction he spreads, the more profound his mind-numbing bliss.
Each Obliterator foot has dual cannons that launch explosive beams. His favorite move—the “Kick in the Guts”—involves punting an Eclector in the midsection while setting off a body-rending volley.
His left shoulder houses a missile bay with enough warheads to flatten an area the size of California. In fact, his explosive barrages have inadvertently shot down many of his own troops.
Adversaur’s weapons systems are managed by the control unit mounted on his chest, which also happens to be the decapitated head of the Celestor warlord Massacre Metalmorgue. Though long since defeated, Metalmorgue endures as a tinny voice that feeds Adversaur’s malicious drive, whispering how cool and sexy he is every time he maims, tortures, or deactivates an Eclector. Other Malfaktors often overhear Adversaur mumbling, “You’re pretty cool and sexy, too,” assuming that he’s talking to himself rather than the voice. Either way, it’s still weird.
His only known weakness is the unwillingness of other Malfaktors to consistently give him 100%, knowing they may be inadvertently slaughtered at any time without so much as an apology. Consequently, staff retention remains a major issue among the Malfaktor ranks.
